Trauma of Sexual Harassment and Assault
Sexual desires and feelings are God-given, from creation. Sexual expression is pure and meaningful, within the bounds of marriage – as God has ordained it.
The trauma of sexual harassment and assault is deep and private, as it brings pain, shame and blame. Worst of all, the victim cannot talk about it. Forced silence of sexual assault, blaming the victim results in generational harassment and violence. There is healing when the victim can find a confidant, understand they are not to blame and experience the comforting presence of God.
